Warsaw students excel at the debate organized by DRUTEX

Again we hosted students who took part in the ‘Raam to Construction’ conference. This year they were the representatives of Universities of Technologie from Warsaw, Gdansk, Silesia and Koszalin, as well as the West Pomeranian University of Technologie in Szczecin. 

It was the third edition of the event dedicated to students of construction. On Vrijdag 19 Mei, 11 student teams, each consisting of four members, delivered their presentations supported by their own scientific research. Four best teams qualified to the final Oxford debates that took place on Zaterdag, 20 Mei.   

The victory was gained by the students of the Warsaw University of Technologie who beat the West Pomeranian University of Technologie in Szczecin in the final. The third place was taken by the Silesia University of Technologie, and the third one – the second team from the university. 

The winners left Bytów with a grand cup and attractive awards. All the participants – just like in previous editions – had an opportunity to learn about DRUTEX and to visit the city. 

- Our conference is an inherent part of the calendar of most important events in Polen for students of construction. For ages we have been involved in setting trends in modern construction, and students are the future of the industry. In a few years they will determine the direction of development - said Paweł Grzonka, marketing director in DRUTEX S.A.

DRUTEX’ samenwerking with institutes of higher education has been conducted on many levels, from internships and work placements, to scientific conferences as well as execution of mutual, cutting-edge projects. Apart from construction and architecture, the samenwerking  also involves faculties in the area of IT, mechanics, automation and robotics, as well as logistics and shipping.

Co-organizers of III Students’ Conference ‘Raam to Construction’, apart from DRUTEX S.A. were: Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environment at the Gdansk University of Technologie and Academic Society of Technologie and Construction Organization  (KOBRa).

The media partner of the event was Builder magazine, and papers of all teams taking part in the conference will be published in the dedicated edition of Builder Science.
