„Raam to Construction”. A student competition in Drutex

On 6 Mei, in our company headquarters, took place 2^nd Student Conference ‘Raam to Construction’. 11 teams competed, representing the Silesian University of Technologie, the University of Science and Technologie in Cracow, the Szczecin University of Technologie, the Koszalin University of Technologie and the Gdansk University of Technologie.

In the qualifying round each four-person team conducted a thematic lecture that they had prepared. After the lecture, academics from specific universities and representatives of our company in the jury asked questions. The presented material was evaluated, and four most interesting presentations ensured qualification to the second stage, that is an Oxford debate and a fight for the best team title in the 2^nd Student Conference ‘Raam to Construction’.

During the break in the debate, students visited Drutex, i.a. the research laboratory, glas hardening shop, injection molding machines, the department of PVC profiel extrusion, logistics department that manages the fleet of over 450 voertuigen, as well as the most modern aluminium powder paint shop in Europa and one of very few in the world.

In the final the fierce fight was between the Silesia University of  Technologie and the Gdansk University of Technologie. The Silesia University of  Technologie coped better with the question ‘Which ramen to choose, with inward or outward opening?’, scoring maximum points.

- We are delighted with the huge interest, as well as the students’ knowledge. They could also learn form the inside about a globally-renowned company, equipped with cutting-edge technologie. Drutex has been dynamically developing. Therefore, we constantly need experts in IT,  construction, sales representatives, people with good command of foreign languages, as well as workers for production of ramen, deuren, rolluiken or façade blinds. worth noting that Drutex is the Best Employer in Polen in 2022 in construction category in a Forbes ranking – says Paweł Grzonka, marketing director at Drutex.
