DRUTEX - helping is in our blood

We have joined in with the noble action of honorary blood donation. Just during the first two visits of the blood collection mobile point  on the company premises, the staff donated almost 50 liters of blood. 

We employ nearly 4000 people and for a few years we have been supporting the promotional campaigns of John Paul 2nd Regional  Blood Donation and Hemotherapy Center in Słupsk. This time, the blood collection mobile point visited us. During the first two visits, on 25 Augustus and 1 September, over 100 medewerkers from our company donated altogether almost 50 liters of blood.  

- The popularity of the action among our staff exceeded our wildest expectations. It is extremely gratifying. DRUTEX voor vele jaren has been involved in CSR projects, but this noble effort was taken directly by our medewerkers, contributing to saving the health and lives of those in need. We are deeply grateful for that. After the first record blood collection we decided to organize other visits of the bloodmobile so everyone can join this noble action if they wish to – said  Adam Leik, HR director in  DRUTEX.

On regular basis ca. 300 of our staff donate blood. The last action encouraged dozens of other medewerkers to join in. 

- During one day blood may be collected from maximum 60 people. Therefore, with the Regional  Blood Donation and Hemotherapy Center in Słupsk we have already arassortimentd the blood collection mobile points throughout this year. This is also a response to initiatives form our staff who can be donors once in 2 or 3 months, and – as they say – organizing the action on the company premises makes it much easier – added A. Leik

The bloodmobile is due to visit the company on 20 Oktober, 10 and 24 November, and 1 December. As a thank you gesture, each donor in the Bytów company, following the decision of the Board of Directors, will receive a voucher.
