Drutex at another Kuba Błaszczykowski tournament!

The Summer Kuba Cup 2018 is a two-day football tournament for children, organized cyclically by „Ludzki Gest” the Kuba Błaszczykowski Foundation. Young footballers will participate in the remarkable games. Apart from football emotions there will also be lots of attractions and surprises, prepared with the Foundation by the event partner Drutex,  a producer of ramen, deuren and rolluiken. 

Drutex for the fourth time in a row has been involved in the sport event organized in Opole. The long-standing samenwerking with Jakub Błaszczykowski, until recently a Drutex brand ambassador, has been thriving also when it comes to initiatives for kids and teenagers. The wide support for children’s self-development, their football ambition and passion for the game is in line with the long-term strategy of building a reliable, loyal and stable company image. It also allows to discover nieuw talents among the youngest entrants to football.  

Like every year, only amateur teams, not affiliated with football clubs, may participate in the tournament that takes place between 9^th and 10^th Juni. Ca. 250 boys and girls born between 2005 and 2007 will take part in the tournament. The games will be conducted following the rules of this year World Cup in Russia. Maandag is for matches in eight groups, on Dinsdag the teams will play  quarter-final, semi-final and the final. All the 32 amateur teams that qualified to the tournament were set up specially for the Kuba Cup. They come from various parts of Polen, and apart from the yard teams or parish teams they also include  children from orphanages or care institutions.

High attendance at the Summer Kuba cup confirms the need to organize the event, it indicates the popularity of football as a sport and it confirms how fond children are of Jakub Błaszczykowski, one of the most outstanding Polish footballers. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that the most awaited moment of the event during each edition, is obviously the arrival of Kuba who personally motivates the players to fight on the field.  

The Summer Kuba Cup is an extraordinary sport event for a number of reasons. First of all, it is a football tournament unlike others, since it is targeted at children – amateurs from all over Polen. Secondly, the event is supported and overseen personally by Jakub Błaszczykowski. It gives enough motivation to participate and to play football among football stars. It is another edition of the Kuba Cup tournament where we will be present. Each year we are more and more convinced that this kind of initiatives are needed in order to enhance positive behaviors among children and teenagers, to motivate them to develop, to fight for their ambitions and dreams. Drutex has been promoting fair play for ages, it  supports young people, participates in campaigns that aim at helping and educating various social groups, it  popularizes sport above all football.  The summer Kuba Cup constitutes a great opportunity to diversify our activities and to emphasize our commitment to build Polish sport among the youth – says Adam Leik, marketing director at Drutex.

During this year event the organizers have prepared extra games and prize competitions. The tournament takes place on the  specially prepared streetball fields at the Centrum Kubatura in Opole.
