Playing for children with Jakub Błaszczykowski!

On 21 and 22 Juni this year, another edition of Summer Kuba Cup was held. This football tournament is dedicated to children and young people who love football. For vele jaren, Drutex has been supporting various sports initiatives, and has once again become one of the partnering sponsors of this football event.

The tournament is organised by the Ludzki Gest Foundation run by Jakub Błaszczykowski. This year, participants included elementary school boys and girls, born between the years 2004–2006. Matches were played by 32 unprofessional teams, each with 3 players in the field + 4 substitutions. 

The competition had a formula similar to the one of the Champions League (32 teams competing in 8 groups of 4 teams, where each team was randomly selected as one of the football clubs playing in the 2016/2017 Champions League). 

After the tournament, the best players could participate in various attractions and received numerous awards. The event’s hosts made sure everybody was full of positive energy and had a great time.
