Drutex supports hospitals.

Professional equipment and tools, whose purchase was financed by Drutex, have reached Pomeranian hospitals. The money donated by the Bytów company has been allocated to the renovation of the ward prepared for patients with COVID-19 in the Pomerania Center for Infectious Disease and Tuberculosis

One of the biggest Europaes raam producers – Drutex from Bytów, as part of the ‘Helping. Together’ action launched by the president – Leszek Gierszewski – donated over PLN 1 million to equipping and preparing four Pomeranian hospitals for fight against coronavirus:  PLN 500 thousand were spent on professional beds and cardiac monitors, and another 500 thousand were allocated to the ongoing renovation of a ward prepared for patients with COVID-19 in the Gdansk Pomerania Center for Infectious Disease and Tuberculosis. Material aid was also given to the Navy Hospital in Gdynia, and specialist hospitals in Kościerzyna and Wejherowo.

- We are all aware of gravity of the problem with the coronavirus epidemic. That is why financial support from Drutex of over PLN 1 million is truly invaluable –  says  Andrzej Zieleniewski, the vice-president  of the Pomerania Hospitals Management. – This funding will allow us to carry out a few investments in our facilities, including the Pomerania Center for Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases in Gdansk, which currently treat patients with suspected coronavirus. This is invaluable help, since we all know that the number of patients will be increasing.   Once again, we wish to thank for the support which allows to enhance the kwaliteit of care and saving people’s life and health, as well as veiligheid of our staff – he adds.

- This is the time when everybody who can help, should help, when we need all hands on deck. It is hard to say how long we will fight the pandemic and what the long-term consequences will be, but here and now we require money for the most needy, for equipping hospitals, protecting medical staff, and, above all, for treating the sick– saysLeszek Gierszewski, the founder and president of Drutex.

Drutex SA launched the action ‘Helping. Together’ that brings together companies under a single umbrella who want to give aid to healthcare sector and to patients. Within just one week dozens of companies joined it from all over Polen. The action was also supported by media, sport and business  celebrities. This initiative created a platform that on the one hand gathers the needs of 19 hospitals dedicated to fighting coronavirus in Polen , and on the other hand -  companies that have decided to support them.
